“Manthan Apang Kanya Seva Sankul”, a unique service organization for girls with disability/different abilities, is a blessing filled with compassion, affection visionary open mind.
Initiated by Didishri Nirmalabahen single-handedly about twenty-five years age, “Manthan” today is a home for about 350 girls with disability/different ability. It has received cooperation of many individuals and support from the society at large. As a result, “Manthan” provides health-care, education, vocational training and value-enriched self-esteem to a large number of neglected girls with physical disability or mental challanges. A number of able women too have had opportunity to contribute in this great endeavour of “Manthan”. A scholar of Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit and Arts, Didishri Nirmalabahen has been conferred with a number of prestigious awards like “Gujarat Rajya Paritoshik”, “National Award for Intellectual Development”, “Bhaskar Woman of the Year”, “Dharti Ratna”, “Madhubahen Shastri Award”, and “Gujarat Mahila Vikas Puraskar”. An embodiment of simplicity, cordiality and candidness, Didishri Nirmalabahen is a mother’s lap for many girls as well as a brilliant inspirer for many an inspired souls.
