Commencement: 15th July 2021

Maternal Consultation & Training Centre for Child Development (from stages of Pregnancy to Infancy)

Managed by Anoopam Mission (Accredited by and affiliated with Children’s University, Gandhinagar)

The AMMAA Tapovan Kendra is a new and necessary addition to the charitable activities of Anoopam Mission. It aims at providing a platform to aid mothers, in the quest for child development from the prenatal stage to infant and toddler (0 to 3 years of age).

Recognising Health-Care Needs for Mother and Child

The role of the mother is of utmost significance to the health of the family and at large the entire community. It is crucial for the mother to be in sound mental and physical health to look after the family. Unfortunately, this is often neglected and overlooked.

Anoopam Mission recognized this need and set up the AMMAA program in 2007.
The program raises awareness of women’s health issues, and provides an immense service in health-care through regular testing, screening, diagnosis, treatment and guidance for various conditions from anemia, hypertension and diabetes to breast/ovarian cancer etc.

The AMMAA Tapovan Kendra is an invaluable addition to the existing services. Its focus is not only on mother’s and her infant’s health but will go one step further in providing for their care and nourishment at the physical, mental and spiritual level.

AMMAA TAPOVAN KENDRA – Health Care and Beyond for Mother and Child
The BASIS – Science and Spirituality :

Scriptures and science point to the fact that the unborn child begins its mental and pragmatic development in the womb. Hindu civilization has long accepted this and pointed out that all external stimuli which the mother is exposed to has a direct and corresponding impact on the unborn child’s mind and senses, and thereby the child’s future development. This understanding underpins the establishment of the first and only Children’s University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and the AMMAA Tapovan Kendra is directly affiliated to this.

The PROJECT Aims:

The aim of the project is to provide optimal care, development and resources for the mothers and their children from the prenatal stage to infant and toddler (0 to 3 years).

  • To provide education, guidance, training and support to women through their pregnancy and child-birth.
  • To provide for the mental, physical and spiritual health of the mother.
  • To provide for optimal health of the child.
  • To provide for nurturing of the unborn child through to infancy with inculcation of values, culture and positive thoughts.
Project Outline:

A training syllabus developed by Psychology experts of the Children’s University will be followed, with lady experts to carry this out.

LONG TERM VISION – A Brighter Future :

According to Sant Bhagwant Sahebji’s vision, the immediate goal is to safeguard the physical, mental and spiritual health of mother and child, to aid in their empowerment, development and advancement, and lead to the birth of children who are bright, healthy, positive with the strength of values, virtues and culture.

The long-term vision sees these children building a new world, which reflects those values transcending barriers of narrowness, poverty, conflicts and giving rise to honesty, harmony, dignity and the all-encompassing ethos of working towards the good of all.
