Sushri Dr. Amrutaben Patel, the dynamic Chairperson of the National Dairy Development Board has been instrumental in facilitating a large-scale positive change in the sector of milk co-operatives in India. Under her very able leadership the co-operative movement has gained strength, has expanded in scope and has consequently enhanced the livelihood of millions of people in rural and urban India.

Sushri Dr. Yoginiben Majmudar (India)

Sushri Dr. Yoginiben Majumdar, the Principal of a girls’ school in the remote village of Ajol is a dedicated educationist with a mission to empower society by enhancing the capabilities and opportunities of the girl child. Her endeavours have been greatly successful in inculcating a sense of dignity and enhancing the self-confidence of a large number of girls who have attained notable success both as career women as well as highly respected members of their family and community.

Shri Ghelubhai Nayak (India)

Shri Ghelubhai Nayak, a freedom fighter and a living embodiment of the Gandhian values of “service unto the last”, is a great source of inspiration to all generations. He co-ordinates the service activities of Swaraj Ashram in Daang, which is one of those unique organizations dedicated to the service of humanity. Through this, he has attempted to facilitate the creation of a sustainable harmony between modern influences and the traditions of tribal life.
