Anoopam Mission Canada has helped me with many aspects of my life. Firstly, through Anoopam Mission I have been able to build strong life-long relationships with devoted and motivated individuals. I have gained more knowledge on the origin of the Swaminarayan Sanstha which has helped me articulate many of my beliefs. Anoopam Mission has also motivated me to be selfless, friendly and a model citizen. In particular, the teachings I received through Anoopam Mission have helped me navigate through many difficult circumstances, as I have learned how to stay positive and always look for the good in any situation. Overall, Anoopam Mission helped me understand the importance of Faith and taught me to channel my Faith in a positive direction.

My involvement with Anoopam Mission began the day I was born. My grandparents were the ones who started to get involved with the organization, followed by my parents. Then my sister and I walked in their footsteps. For as long as I can remember, I have always taken a considerable part in organizing and attending youth events. Attending Sabhas has given me the opportunities to engage in teachings and discussions about religion, spirituality, school, and career opportunities – to name a few of the many things that Anoopam Mission has to offer. Through the years, I have gained knowledge and skills that have made me well-equipped to create an identity for myself in the community. Anoopam Mission has been a place for me to connect with those with whom I share similarities. I have been able to create strong relationships with these individuals that transcend beyond our Mandir.

Anoopam Mission Canada, has provided me with a great support system, from its profound foundation and ongoing support, which helped me establish my newly immigrant family in 2006. Transformation from one level of understanding to another has taken place. The way culture has been nourished and is explained to kids, in its day to day applications, morals and values, welcoming and accepting diverse cultures, has kept us connected to it in all aspects; truly supporting the community. Team work, giving equal importance to everyone's art and talent, performances with meaningful messages, group discussions, sports and fun activities has helped build a strong basis in my family. Our spiritual teacher Sant Bhagwant Sahebji’s teaching has expanded, practiced and touched the horizon of many.
